The Bipolar Hub works to support people living with bipolar disorder and their families through psychological and allied health approaches.
The Hub is an initiative of the School of Psychology, Western Sydney University and is run by A/Prof Tania Perich. Members of the Bipolar Hub working party include lived experience members of the community, psychologists and student representatives.
A key focus of the Bipolar Hub is to train students, staff, clinicians, and members of the public in the area of bipolar disorder. The research arm of the Bipolar Hub allows people living with bipolar disorder and their families to participate in ongoing research studies.
Research studies may be conducted in a range of modalities and include collaborations with key members of university research institutes such as the Translational Health Research Institute. Being located within a university, student research also plays a key role in the Bipolar Hub research activities.
